I find it quite strange that every time I step into the shower I am suddenly flooded by new ideas, thoughts, verses, etc. Today I realized that the shower is my special place of inspiration.
Our shower has a window which overlooks a river. I love looking outside and watching the sky and the big puffy clouds. Or I can look down and see the water running down the river. When I look out, I think of God. I think of the things that He is doing. He brings verses to my mind. Just when I need a verse to encourage me or a verse to share with someone else, a verse comes to mind.
Other times I am inspired in different ways. I suddenly get new ideas about something I am going to teach. I remember when I taught 5th grade I would always think of my best ideas for lesson plans in the shower.
Where do you get inspired? Do you get inspired by hiking up a mountain and looking out into the splendor of God's creation? Do you get inspired by sitting quietly in a comfy chair?
I was reminded yesterday in speaking with a friend that God speaks to us all day long. Sometimes we just have to take the time (or find the right place) to be still and hear Him.

Ann! YOUR new look is absolutely fabulous! I'd checked in on you last week, so I was surprised to find you today with this fancy new layout. Looks great!
Hope you guys are well. You know, I put you on my Wednesday prayer list back when you guys traveled to Spain, and for some reason you've never left it. You and Michael remain in my thoughts and prayers.
God is faithful, isn't He?!

Hey -
I love the new blog - its very simple and calming (the pictures add to the picturesque beauty of it).
I'm ususally inspired when I am driving. Or sometimes if I can pull my brain away from how my legs feel - when I run.
