Asparagus, Plums And Doing Good

Let me just start off by saying two things:

I love asparagus...

...and I love plums!

That being said I can move on now. I was reading in Galatians a couple days ago. Our church reads through a book of the Bible each month (random books in a random order). This month was Galatians month. Such a great book!

I have been thinking about a certain person a lot lately. You know how it is when it seems like you are the one that is always initiating in a relationship? You make all the calls? You email them all the time? Well, that's how it is with me. And after a while it gets kind of frustrating, doesn't it?

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers."
Galatians 6:9-10

After I read that I knew what my answer was. I may not always see the results I want or when I want but I need to keep "doing good to all." I guess that means phone calling and emailing, huh?

God's Word always speaks to us. What has God been showing you through his Word?

Love the post! And the message. That verse has been powerful to me lately, too...

I have the BEST asparagus casserole recipe for Easter. (At least we always made it at Easter.) It might be too Texas-y, but then again... I'll send it your way when I can dig it up!

Hope you are having a wonderful week!

I would have to agree with the verse and the plums but not so much with the asparagus! :) Thanks for "doing good" to all us people at the Chapel and in our family! I know we don't express it all the time or aren't always "doing good" back, but we really do appreciate all you do!! :) Thanks so much for being such a great example to so many!! Te quiero muchisimo!!

Mia Bella,

I dream of the day when we can sit down, have tea and yummy food and visit...you are such an inspiration and such a wonderful Woman of God!

The Word of God is so powerful and so comforting and challenging at the same time...lately I have been reminded over and over to be still and really understand that God's timing is always the best...I have been reminded of His authority and His amazing love...

I will definitely buy some asparagus once we get back to the States:)
