On Saturday morning I sat in bed thinking to myself, "I am blessed. I have a fantastic husband. A loving family. An awesome church. Terrific friends. I can't complain about anything!"
A couple hours later I peeked into my car. I thought it was strange that the door was slightly open. As I looked inside I realized that someone else had been in my car. And not only had they made their presence known in my car, they had taken a few items as souvenirs! The CD player we installed a few years ago and the garage door opener were nowhere to be found.
My mind raced back to my thoughts a couple hours back: "I can't complain about anything!"
In retrospect, I really can't complain. A CD player is, well, a CD player. The garage door opener can be replaced and the code changed. All in all, I am still blessed.
I think it's funny how God brings little (or big) things into your life to wake you up. It's funny how a seemingly minor incident can help you appreciate heaven. It can help you realize that all this "stuff" on earth is just "stuff" and that eternally, it brings us nothing.
So, even though I am a bit sad about my CD player being stolen, I know that I really can't complain about much. God has got me in the palms of His hands and I'm glad to be there.
Hope your week is off to a great start!

You have such a great attitude! I am sad that the CD player and the garrage opener are gone, but I am sure glad that the car is ok and still running and you are safe...oh, I've got an idea...you should leave a Bible inside...even though they may steal other things, they may want the Bible and indirectly a "bad earthly thing" can be a "heavenly rejoicing"...Thank you for the reminder to keep our eyes on the heavenly treasures:)
