Belly Pictures - Last Ones?!?!

Somehow, I went from that to this...

Due to popular request, I am posting the latest belly pictures. Mind you, they are a tad bit "old" as they are from week 37 and I am now on week 38 (big difference!) but my belly is pretty much the same size - BIG! Yes, I have finally arrived at the "when is this ever going to end" stage. The nights are certainly the most uncomfortable as I try and maneuver my way in and out bed. Oh, the never-ending trips to the bathroom!

Baby Girl has dropped in the last week. She is still head down and I can feel it! When she moves it is usually quite uncomfortable for me so if you see me making a funny face, it's probably because she's moving. My belly is lower and now I feel like I have more room to breathe. With that comes the fun of more pressure on my bladder - so you know what that means.

If at any point what I'm saying is too much for you, you can stop reading!

Things are moving along as we get ready for Baby Girl's arrival. It could be any day now! Last night I felt as though it was it. But alas, I woke up this morning with no contractions and feeling just great. Those Braxton Hicks get me all worked up sometimes for nothing. We have clothes for her to wear, and a place for her to sleep. What more is the girl going to need? Well, she'll need me for food - so we're ready to go! Oh, we bought out first pack of diapers the other day. I feel like such a mom! Those newborn diapers are tiny. They will look so cute on her little rear!

Last Monday we went on a tour of the UCSD labor and delivery and then went and looked at the birth center. Since I will hopefully be delivering in the birth center, we were quite interested to see what it all looked like. I think we both left feeling good about the decision we have made. You can see a virtual tour of the birth center here. Most likely, I will be able to also spend my post-partum time in the same room so that should be nice.

Plans are being made for "the moment" when I go into labor as far as who to call, etc. It's hard to now know when this is going to happen so that we can make plans for my mom to travel down. So, we just rest in the fact that God knows best and He'll work things out so that everyone that needs to be there for the labor and birth can be there!

We will do our best to keep everyone posted on the developments in the next days....or weeks! This Friday we have an appointment with our midwife which we are both excited about as we've got lots of questions.

I leave you with the picture that's become a favorite.

Is my belly bigger than a watermelon?
