Dumpster Diving

Each year towards the end of June, Michael's mom's side of the family comes together for the annual Villa Family Vacation. And this year was no different! Most of the family lives in the San Luis Obispo area so we headed up there for a few days of fun with the family. We had debated all summer whether we should go or not because of being somewhat close to the baby's due date. However, as the time drew closer, I felt fine so we decided to go ahead and go. How could we miss out on the fun times?

One of the highlights each year of the family vacation is the dumpster diving. Michael's aunt kindly brings out boxes upon boxes of treasures that she has found and we bid on them with our fake money. There are miscellaneous objects and then there are the bags of clothes and finally, the boxes of food. And people throw this all away! This year we even managed to get a few baby items for Baby Girl so that was exciting.

Michael has an absolutely wonderful family and later on in the day they put on a baby shower for us...but that's a whole other post so I'll leave you with some pictures of the dumpster diving distribution.
