I Can Hardly Believe It Was Three Months Ago...

Dear Miss Little Elena,

I can hardly believe it's already been three months since you came into this world. You were already a part of it before that, but we didn't have a chance to meet you until 9:00am on July 26. Last Sunday marked your three month "birthday" so I thought I'd write you a letter.

Little girl, you have completely taken over our lives - and it's a good thing! I absolutely love doing everything with you! You are my little companion wherever I go. Today I was waiting in line and the lady behind me started talking to me and telling me what a cute baby I have. You were sleeping away in your car seat and you looked so peaceful. I love to watch you sleep but I also love to play with you and be your silly Mama when you're awake.

You've grown and changed so much in the last three months! You're fitting into bigger clothes now, starting to suck your thumb, cooing to us a lot, kicking and waving your arms whenever you're in your chair and just in the last week you started jumping around in your johnny jumper. You love to move! It just melts me heart every time I see you smile. Just like McDonald's, dear, "we love to see you smile!"

I know your daddy feels the same way I do. He would do anything for his girl. He likes holding you when you cry and he's pretty good at calming you down. When he leaves for work in the morning he always checks in on you and when he gets home from work he always asks how his "ladies" are doing. He gives you baths, changes your diapers (even the dirty ones!), gets you dressed and does everything else when Mama is doing something else. He loves you so much!

Little girl, you don't know how much joy you've brought us and we know it'll just keep getting better and better. Sometimes we wonder why we didn't have you sooner because we enjoy doing things with you so much. God's timing is perfect and He knew just when we needed you. And God is perfect too because He knew just what we needed. Your silly personality fits us well. :)

Okay Little Bunny, I'm so glad you're ours to take care of. We pray for you ever day. We pray that you'll grow up to love God and the people around you. There really is nothing better!

Keep growing, kiddo...can't wait to see it!

Your Mama
