Visit from the Burtons

Our dear friends, the Burtons, were here a few weekends ago to visit us. We had a great time together! I grew up with Amy in Spain so we go waaaay back! Our husbands enjoy talking and have a lot in common too - how could they not since they're both Michaels! Now we have another thing in common since we have a kid now too. Elena has been added to the mix! I am pretty sure she had a good time with Josiah and Hannah.

We walked around Balboa Park together...

...made some delicious meals, one of which was tapas from Spain...

You can never have too much garlic with your olives

Sauteed mushrooms

Shrimp "al ajillo" - again lots of garlic is the key!

Patatas bravas

Prosciutto (kind of like jamon serrano), chorizo and Manchego cheese

Finished product = Happy people

...and snapped pictures of our darling children...

Sending much love your way...:)
