Not Much Going On

Seems like life has slowed down for us a bit lately. Or at least our cameras have slowed down. Somehow, we've either been sick or not really doing much of anything that's worth capturing on camera.

Elena, on the other hand, is getting cuter and cuter by the day! I am so unbiased! I cannot tell you how much joy she brings us! She is growing so much that we can't keep up with her - she's moving through the diaper sizes quickly, through the clothes sizes quickly and outgrowing her car seat, baby chair and swing. Time for other babies to use them! Which reminds me, we know so many people that have either just had or will have a baby very soon. We are surrounded by babies - what an exciting time in life! By the way, congrats to Ben and Katie on the arrival of their little Devin!

Proof that Elena is growing: She got a big girl stroller!

It seems like having Elena has forced us to slow down and to take life a little easier. We don't make as many plans as we used to as sometimes we are just as happy staying home on a Friday evening and being together as a family. Just this past weekend I have been sick so the three of us spent a lot of time together at home. Michael commented that he can't think of anything more fun that spending time with me and Elena!

The older I get the more I realize the importance of spending time with the people we love. Time is such a wonderful way to show someone that you love them. So we have spent a lot of time just being together.

Well, there really was no main point to this post. Just a little "HI!" from our home to yours. We're still here, just taking it easy and not running around too much...

For Valentine's Day we went to Little Italy farmer's market for a little family outing...

...and Elena got to go on a special date with Daddy to see his favorite soccer team play on TV.

Actually Elena looks fairly good in the colors of her father's favorite soccer team. And yes Ann, I noticed how you said "his" favorite soccer team, an obvious reference to my great son-in-law Michael whose only defect is his trying to make a "Sevilla follower" out of his daughter! This leads me to believe that if Elena were exposed more to CF Real Madrid, as some others think, her true inner colors would come to light! One day she will see the "real" light. Just having a little fun. "Elena's grandfather in Sanger"
