You may have noticed that it's been over a month since I last posted. The last time I posted was on March 25th in the morning. I had just finished taking some pictures of Elena and was going to send them to my two Grandmas - both of whom were sick. Little did I know that later that day, my dear Grandma K. would pass away. She left her earthly home for her heavenly one! About a month after Elena was born she was diagnosed with Lymphoma. After months of chemotherapy and other treatments, my parents had hospice come in and help make her comfortable. Although we knew that she would pass away eventually, we had no idea it would happen that quickly.
But God in His great mercy oversaw so many details during this difficult time. We were able to travel up to my parents house and spent almost two weeks there (Michael had to come back in between for work). It is truly wonderful to have a family during times like these. We were able to come together and just be with each other - something we said we should have done sooner.
Although we miss my Grandma greatly, we are glad for her and that she is in heaven now. She lived her life for God and His things and now she is in His presence. It is sad for the rest of us, but my heart is filled with joy when I think of seeing her in heaven someday. What a great reunion that will be!
My Grandma lived a full life - 83 years, to be exact. My talented husband, Michael, put together the following slide show with pictures and video of her life. Hope it gives you a glimpse into the life of my Grandma and that you can see what a wonderful person she was.
We will miss you, Grandma...

Bella,
What a sweet and thoughtful husband you have to put this very special album together! I feel so privileged to have met your Grandma K and been around her for a couple of times! She surely left a great legacy!
Love you!
