Last week, Grandma H.'s sister Alison came to visit so we all went to the Carlsbad Flower Fields together. It was a beautiful day with great weather and we couldn't have asked for more beautiful views than what we saw that day. We could see the fields when we drove up and they were breathtaking. Most of the fields are full of ranunculus flowers and although many of them were nearing the end of their life cycle, they were still beautiful. There were strips of each color and when put all together it was so colorful.
They also have a sweet pea maze, rose garden and a variety of other flower arrangements aside from the ranunculus flower fields. After walking around the fields we attempted the maze but with Elena's stroller it proved to be a bit difficult. The rose garden had so many different varieties of roses and it smelled so good.
By far, the most beautiful flower there was little Elena (okay, I may be a tad biased). She sure brightens up our lives!
