Elena's Dedication

We had been anxiously waiting for my parents to make a trip down to see us so that we could have a baby dedication for Elena. Even though Elena is no longer a "baby" (I guess she's more of an infant?") we still wanted to take this step in our parenting journey.

It all happened on May 17. It was simply a time for us to acknowledge that we want to raise Elena according to God and His Word, the Bible. It is more of a "parent dedication" that a dedication of the child since we as as parents are committing ourselves to this. Both of Elena's Grandpa's prayed for her - it was so special!

And how did Elena feel about all of this? She slept through it all! We tried to keep her awake but all our attempts failed.

"Dear God, help us to be good, Godly parents to Elena. May she grow up to love You and follow Your ways!"
