Family Adventures at Bass Lake

Last weekend we made a trip to visit my parents and family in the Central Valley. Although we had just seen them (my parents) a week and a half before it was so good to see them again and to be able to see our extended family. We went to my cousin's baby shower (yay for Kimmy having a baby!) and Katie's birthday party, among other things. By the way, I have some great pictures that we took at our family get-together that Michael is touching up and I will be passing on to you family members shortly.

Anyway...

Elena and I went up to Fresno a few days early and got to spend some good time with her grandparents. One of the nights we headed up to Bass Lake for my dad's birthday. Someone had given them a night's stay in one of the cabins so we got to enjoy some time up there.

Elena now likes to put her feet up and just relax...in her stroller, in her car seat...

After taking a walk and seeing the lake we went over to the pool and let Elena stick her feet in the water. I wish I had brought her bathing suit! Unfortunately, there were other people around and strict rules or I would have just let her swim around in her birthday suit. :)

She LOVES water and splashing around in the pool. Its definitely getting warmer here so we will have to take her out to the pool to splash around and get her whole body in the water.



With drenched clothes we returned back to our cabin. By then the sun was setting and the lake looked absolutely beautiful! I had a wonderful time and am ready to go to Bass Lake again soon!
