Happy Columbus Day!

Even though most people aren't celebrating Columbus Day today we are taking it seriously and enjoying the day off. We really didn't have anything planned for the day so it's been nice to be lazy and just enjoy each other's company. Of course, what day off is not complete with a list of "honey-do" projects? Michael already completed his first one and is working on the second project for the day. Yeah!

Probably the highlight of our weekend was hanging out with our great friends, Sergio and Kendra. We met them a little less than a year ago at a Spanish restaurant in Pacific Beach. Ever since then we've hit it off and have enjoyed being together. Unfortunately, a few months ago they moved to L.A. so seeing them often has gotten a little harder. This weekend we drove up to Huntington Beach to hang out with them.

While driving up to L.A. we stopped at the mall for a little to kill some time. It was such a beautiful day but we ended up spending some time shopping around for some clothes for our trip to Spain. Let's have a vote: who do you think enjoys shopping more? Michael? or me?

Great weekend! I've been reading a book that Michael bought called The Tipping Point. A really great book with insight into society. I want to read a bit more but I'll share some of the interesting things I've learned from reading it. More later. Hasta la proxima! (which means, "until next time" in Spanish).

Deceptive photo of you and Michael...I am almost positive Michael enjoys shopping more than you. The only problem is that it doesn't look like you two were in Fry's while taking the picture!!
