One year ago today I was getting ready for a day of jury duty. I was excited about the possibility of being on a trial until I got a phone call from my sister-in-law, informing me that she was at the birth center and having contractions.
Minutes later I was filing into a court room and sitting down in one of the juror chairs. I was supposed to be juror #2. To make a long story short, I got out of jury duty. At one point I knew I was going to be picked so I asked the judge if I might be excused. Thankfully, the judge let me go and I drove down to the birth center.
Later that day we all welcomed Grace into the world.
Birthdays are special days and today is definitely a special day. Grace turned one today!
Grace, we are so happy that you are a part of our family. We love you and look forward to what's to come - walking, running, talking, etc...the possibilities are endless!
