Nevertheless, Spring is here and new life is springing up all around us. I really do think it is wonderful how Christ's resurrection comes around the same time of year as new life. All these fragrant flowers, greener grass, and delightful days are a reminder to us that God is ALIVE!
I love reading the book of Psalms. I have heard many people mention that this is one of their favorite books of the Bible. It definitely is one of mine, too. Somehow, the words of the Psalms resonate with my heart; as if they were saying exactly what I wanted to say...
"Praise the LORD, O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."
Psalm 103:1-5
God renews us day by day and gives us new life - even when we are in the pit. I love the part of Psalm 103 that says, "and forget not all his benefits." God has blessed us so much. I pray that I will be able to praise God no matter what happens in life. Praising God when things are not going well is equally as important as praising God when things are going well.
So today I praise God for His beautiful creation and for the assurance that He is the Lord that "crowns me with love and compassion..." Amen!
P.S. Thanks for praying for my grandma. Though there were complications after the surgery she is doing much better now. She is now well enough to be released from the hospital into the care of a convalescent hospital. As my dad said, we continue to praise God no matter what happens because He deserves the glory!

Amen, amen and amen!!!
I think that we feel the blessing of the Lord's touch and spirit more when we praise Him during our tougher times...we become closer to Him and more vulnerable and we get a better glimpse of His amazing grace, love and mercy!
You took such beautiful pictures...such great illustrations of spring, new life in Christ!
