Lots of things going on in life right now and I've been sitting at home - sort of sick. I say sort of because I don't feel sick, sick. I feel like I could get sick so I'm staying home and taking it easy to prevent. I've been here at home all day and if you were to ask me what I had gotten accomplished I wouldn't have much to say. Yes, it was one of those days today.
My grandma went in for surgery yesterday. It was a rather serious surgery and she had been waiting a month for yesterday to come. She spent eight hours in surgery (how those doctors and nurses do it, I don't know) and for the most part, has been doing okay. She had an aneurysm on her aorta, which is something quite serious. She came through the surgery quite well (as well as you can after being in surgery for 8 hours) but the road to recovery is long. The doctors are worried about her kidneys since they haven't been functioning properly. I'd ask that you pray that God would touch her kidneys so at least one of them would work! I wish I could be there with my family but I guess the phone calls every few hours will have to do for now.
Which brings me to my third point...wedded bliss. This weekend a friend of ours is getting married. Our whole family is involved in the wedding in one way or another so its caused quite a commotion, to say the least. We all hope the best for the happy couple (and hope that their wedding will go as they have planned it - down to the minute!)
Hope each of you has a wonderful weekend. I'm sure we'll have some good wedding stories to tell...
