Weekend O'Fun

Hi! It's been a little while since I've stopped by. Boy, it sure has been busy. Busy AND fun! My dear parents came for the weekend and spent some time down in the "oasis" of San Diego (as they so called it!) They have had a difficult last few months and needed some time to get away and recharge their batteries. I am glad we could enjoy their company and help them relax a little!

Saturday afternoon I whisked my mom off to a card-making event. Some of the girls from our church had wanted to show others just how easy it is to make homemade cards. I loooove making homemade cards and have taken it on as a hobby during the last year. I really like using ribbon on my cards so I showed some of the ladies how to fancy up a card with ribbon! I'll have to say we all had a great time together. It's so fun to see how people that are completely intimidated by any type of craft left with a bag full of cards and a little more confidence.

That evening we went to one of the funniest comedy shows I've ever seen. Well, not that I've seen that many... It was about two hours long and I laughed almost the entire time. Michael said he was almost having more fun watching me laugh my head off than watching the comedians. Has Triple Espresso come to your neck of woods yet? They've been in San Diego for the last 10 years and next month is their final show.

I think we just might have to go again before the show ends here in San Diego. It is definitely well worth it so if you're close to a showing - go!

These next couple days are going to be a little crazier than usual as I'll be packing up my bags to head up north to our neighboring state, Oregon. It's road trip time with my friend. We're going up there for a wedding. I'm not sure if I'll be able to update until we come back...

May you have a wonderful week. I'll check in when I get back and post some pictures. In the meantime, feel free to drop by and say HI!

Wish I were there to get some ideas on card making...Sheri is really good at it and has started me on homemade cards too...I have not had the chance to sit down and do it for a while, but now that we will be back in the States I will have to get back into it...so I will be contacting you for some neat ideas, right?

Laughter is medicine for the soul...how neat that you were able to have your parents over and enjoy a really fun show!
