Now a Year Older

Thanks to everyone that called or e-mailed for my birthday. Of course, thanks to those of you that I got to spend the day with - I felt so special! I am once again reminded of how grateful I am for wonderful family and friends that make special days so special.

I had a delicious bagel and cream cheese breakfast at the zoo in the morning with Michael's mom, aunt and sister. Took a few hours to walk around and see all the animals. I think the hippos were quite cute. We forgot our cameras so no pictures to show. :(

From there I drove down to Point Loma to meet Michael and the Old Venice Restaurant. It is one of my favorites and has absolutely delicious food! After spending a little time together eating and talking we drove down to...the car wash!

Yeah, not the type of place I expected to be at for my birthday but my car was pretty dirty and the tires needed a little air so my wonderful husband took some time to help me out with my car. I think I have to admit that I had never been through a car wash until last Friday. I know, I know. I have always washed my cars myself. I just can't spend money for someone else to wash my car! It was quite an exciting gift to go through the car wash!

By this time our bodies were beckoning a little rest and relaxation so we suited up and went out to relax by the pool. It was simply wonderful.

For dinner we went to Michael's family's house and they treated me to an exquisite fondue dinner. I think fondue dinners are my new favorite! We had an assortment of foods to dip into cheeses for the main course and then for dessert we had cakes, cookies and fruits to dip into chocolate and a raspberry sauce. I sure hope there is fondue in heaven!

Thanks again for all your birthday wishes. I enjoyed every phone call, every e-card, every snail mail card and of course, the hugs! I am blessed.
