A Wonderful Visit

Last week we were blessed to have my family over for a few days and one GREAT visit! Thanks Dad and Mom and Grandpa and Grandma for coming down. On Tuesday I picked up Grandpa and Grandma from the airport and them brought them home for some dinner. We ate together and then went our own ways for a few ours. The ladies headed off to The Chapel's women's Bible study and the men went out and hung out together.

Later that night when Grandma and I got home, my parents were there. They had just flown in from Pennsylvania, where they had been the week before. It was fun for all of us to be together! It is not often that we all get to be together under one roof so it was a special time!

The next day Grandpa, Grandma, my mom and I headed off for La Jolla and went to Mount Soledad and then to La Jolla Cove to go see the seals.

The seals are such great entertainment!

That afternoon we decided to head down to Ikea since Grandpa and Grandma had never been there before. Now they know where all their grandchildren shop! Our house is practically all Ikea. We love it! It definitely is an experience to walk through the store. By the end of the day we were all a little worn out, but not too worn out to help Michael celebrate his birthday. We had a great time celebrating together that evening!

The next morning we took it easy and just went for a walk around Balboa Park. It such a beautiful place and that day it did not disappoint. Well, the botanical garden was closed and that is my favorite part but we did have a great time walking around the rest of the park.

By far, the funnest event of their time here was going with us to the Birth Center to see the ultrasound of our little Sea Monkey. But that's a post in and of itself. Coming up next!
