Baby Shower #2

After the dumpster diving extravaganza last week, Michael's family had a baby shower for us at a nearby park. We felt so special! Cousin Natalie had brought a beautiful cake for us and boy, was it pink! And delicious! I don't think I've ever seen a cake that size. Michael's dad was caught eating the biggest piece ever. Well, he was taking it to share with others, but it was fun to pretend that he was eating it all himself.

Are you sure you can handle all that cake, Grandpa?

Not only did we get to enjoy some great cake but we all participated in a very fun activity! Cousin Amy had brought along several packages of onesies of different sizes. We were given the opportunity to decorate onesies for Baby Girl with puff paints or by sewing on flowers or pretty ribbon. I definitely loved the idea and I know I will be grateful for all the onesies that Baby Girl will be able to wear.

As the onesies dried in the sun we opened a few gifts from the family. We got so many great things! The diaper bag, plenty of books for Baby Girl to read, dresses, an antique high chair and must haves for when she starts eating "real food," books for pictures and lots of other great things. Thanks, family!

We certainly are grateful for such a wonderful family and look forward to next year's Villa Family Vacation when Baby Girl will actually get to be a more active part of the family's time together!
