Is She Me?

A few weeks ago we went to visit my family for a few days. It seems that its becoming a monthly occurrence, isn't it? Well, we do love spending time with family, even if they are far away!

On this particular evening we had the privilege of spending some time with Elena's Great Grandpa and Grandma. We picked up some chinese food at a local restaurant and filled our bellies with a variety of delicious dishes.

And then Elena proceeded to entertain us all with her cute self...

A rocking chair her size - finally! I remember sitting in that chair as a kid. So, it's been around for a while. It's so fun to see your kid enjoying the same things that you used to enjoy as a kid. While at my grandparent's house, I found a bag of clothes that my mom had saved with some of my toddler clothes. What fun to discover them and now get them ready for Elena to be able to wear! She is going to be such a trendy 80's kid.

And then we opened up the piano and let her play around a little. Although neither her Daddy nor I are concert pianists, Michael can play a few songs and he showed Elena what he knows. I took this picture because I have one very similar to it of me and my Dad when I was a toddler. I'll have to find it and compare the two!

I am so glad Elena is getting to experience some of the same things I did as a kid!
