Meeting Miss Holly and Eating Grandpa's Oranges

One by one, my cousins (that are married) have been having children. Not only are my cousins my family but they are also some of my best friends! I just wish we all lived a little bit closer...

A few weeks ago, Elena had the privilege of meeting her second cousin, Holly. Although she was born near the end of December, we hadn't had a chance to meet her yet. We'd seen lots of pictures and heard that she was "so cute" but we had to see her for ourselves. And she did not disappoint! She really is cute!

And on the next day we had Great Grandpa over for a meal. It had been since late December that we had seen him as well so it was about time. My Aunt Ruth came over as well and we all had a delicious lasagna dinner together.

When Grandpa first arrived he brought in a big sack full of oranges that he had picked just for Elena. "Onge, onge, onge" could be heard as Elena saw what was in the bag. That girl sure loves fruit and Great Grandpa scored major points with Elena! He cut her up an orange and shared an afternoon snack with her:

We had a great time with you, Aunt Ruth and Grandpa. Elena's smile says it all!
